Difficult Italian GP for Glenn Coldenhoff

  |   MXGP

Glenn Coldenhoff of the Red Bull KTM factory racing team experienced a difficult time at the Italian GP on the sandy soil of Ottobiano, an underground that normally would suit him like a glove. Battling with his settings, and never quite getting into his rhythm, he finished ninth for the day, wholly below his expectations.

“I don’t really know what was wrong this weekend,” he said afterwards. “After the French GP I felt great and was confident, I took it easy on Saturday, because we knew it would be blazing hot on Sunday. I just could not get a feel for the track. It was a difficult GP, and I was very disappointed with the outcome. I should have had at least one good moto here. With all that said, it’s over and done with, and we will focus on the Indonesian GP in two weeks’ time.”

Coldenhoff remains in seventh place in the world standings.
