  |   MXGP

Glenn Coldenhoff of the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing team finished sixth overall at the MXGP world championship round in Indonesia. The Dutch rider recovered from poor starts in both heats and battled his way forward. He finished seventh in the first heat and fifth in the second, after a tough battle on the challenging track.

“I felt good the whole weekend, but it is difficult to move forward here if you get a bad start,” he said. “At one stage I pushed too hard, and realised that I was actually performing worse. I settled into a rhythm and recovered from 15th to 7th in the first race. It was not too bad, but we are aiming for more and in the second race, we got to a top five spot. I passed a couple of big names on the way forward. We are aiming for top five finishes every week from here on in. Next week will be another toughie, but I am in good shape and the speed is there at the moment.”

Coldenhoff is currently 7th int he world standings. The GP circus remains in Indonesia for the next round at Semarang next weekend.
